It is more important than ever to maintain your child’s vaccination schedule. There has been a sharp drop in vaccinations since the start of the pandemic. When children are not vaccinated, they are at risk of getting diseases like measles, pneumonia, meningitis, and many others that can cause lifelong disability or death. Falling vaccination rates can lead to new outbreaks of dangerous diseases. Click here for vaccination schedule
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its clinical guidance regarding timing of COVID-19 vaccines and other vaccines.
COVID-19 vaccines and other vaccines may now be administered without regard to timing. This includes simultaneous administration of COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines on the same day, as well as coadministration within 14 days.
In addition to getting caught-up on routine immunizations during your child’s well visit, we monitor growth and development, hearing, vision, heart rate and blood pressure. We also screen for autism, attention and behavioral disorders, as well as mental disorders including; anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. Laboratory work may also be ordered to check for anemia, lead level, high cholesterol and others.
If you have not already done so, please call our office to schedule your child’s well visit. If your child has missed a shot, you do not need to start over. Just come back to the office so your child can catch up with the vaccines he/she needs to stay healthy.
A copy of your child’s immunization record can be requested via your Keona Account.
